codexbar v0.18.0 lands with five new provider integrations while the community keeps stacking PRs like cordwood.
The menu-bar usage tracker ships its biggest provider expansion yet, plus historical pace risk forecasting for Codex.
Released March 16, codexbar v0.18.0 lands five provider additions in a single cut. Kilo arrives with API/CLI source modes, pass parsing, and zero-balance credit handling. Ollama gets token-account support and Chrome-default auto cookie import. OpenRouter brings credit-based usage tracking with key-quota popups. On the Codex side, historical pace risk forecasting with backfill and zero-usage-day handling gives users an early warning before they blow through their quota. Gemini now splits Pro, Flash, and Flash Lite into separate meters. An experimental option to suppress Claude Keychain prompts rounds out the headline features, and CPU/energy regressions in the JSONL scanner path have been squashed.
Community contributors delivered a provider, new pricing tiers, and architectural refactors in a single week.

Five open PRs hint at where codexbar is headed next.
#570 Add Grok (xAI) provider would bring yet another AI service under the menu bar umbrella. #579 Cursor: Total / Auto / API usage bars + totalPercentUsed preference adds granular Cursor tracking. #580 Fix preferences sidebar clipping and window sizing on macOS Tahoe patches a layout regression on the latest OS. #573 Improve CI caching, fix lint config, harden Linux supply chain tightens the build pipeline. Meanwhile, an open bug report claims 2.8 billion tokens and $1,547 charged in a single day — almost certainly a parsing issue, but certainly attention-grabbing.
The Discord CLI with a SQLite backbone stirs with maintenance work and ambitious open issues.
Six commits landed in discrawl this week, though no releases shipped. #23 build(deps): bump goreleaser/goreleaser-action from 6 to 7 sits open from dependabot. The issue tracker tells a bigger story: open tickets propose cloud database backends via Cloudflare D1 or Turso, using discrawl as memory augmentation for AI agents, and adding gitleaks-based secret scanning to the CI pipeline. The tool is small today but the roadmap reads large.
